Children and teenagers
21st century children are very different from children in the past.
Why?
Society nowadays requires them to continually adapt each day to environmental stress, endocrine disruptors and noise, and they have to attempt to acclimatise to this universe. Let’s take an example… When your child is angry, they feel attacked and to protect themselves, they attack those around them. It’s a healthy response to protect themselves.
So how can we help children and young adults?
BY GIVING THEM LOVE! (taking them in your arms, if possible)
Allowing them to move just after the conflict… is a good way to defuse the situation.
Your children ask you to behave like adults to show them the right path. Violence attracts violence. There is always a cause for their emotional and/or physical disruption. Parents need to know and understand why! Do not feel guilty, and look for help outside the home – there are no perfect parents. Do your best together! It is always possible to repair a bad relationship between parents/educators and children. Choose the right moment and the right place to have a heart-to-heart, without verbal violence. The most important thing is to “listen”, to be able to understand the needs and emotions of the young child or teenager.
Sessions help:
- Regulate their emotions
- Free their souls of past trauma (bullying; accidents; break-ups; rape; death, etc.)
- Regain confidence in themselves and the future
- Help them to better express what is happening to them
- Support them if they have dropped out from school, attempted suicide, etc.
Excellent results stem from a non-judgemental attitude and the gift of love, ensuring they have complete trust during the session and are able to understand their state of mind.
